Do you need to do all the steps in the video or will it work just doing the remote portion of the video (first third) or just the garage locator button on the garage opener itself (the second half of the video)?

This worked in 2019 Expedition but you have to be fast after you push the learn button since you only have 10 sec.

Worked like a charm for my rolling code GDO and HomeLink on a 2010 vehicle, using the remote method. Key is to do the double-tap confirm step at the end of the programming.

My new Sonata Hybrid rear view mirror has NO buttons! So this instruction site does not help. The instruction manual says there may be Gentex Automatic-Dimming mirror with an integrated HomeLink Wireless Control System, which presumably I need to get instructions from this site, but it is not here! Yesterday I called the call center and the contact person could not direct us to solve this problem and suggested we bought a car without garage door features, but this is highly unlikely since it is top-of-line model.

Ive programmed easily a thousand homelinks to gates and garages. This one was bizarre. Its a non rolling code so it should just work with a simple cloning. Had to perform the steps on the website around 6 times and it suddenly just worked. Very bizarre.

I've had one of these mounted in the dash blank of my Icon golf cart for 2 years now and it was easy to install and easy to "learn" my garage doors (2) I highly recommend one of these for any golf cart.

This video didn't work for my 2023 VW ID.4. I had to change my Genie / Overhead Door Silent Max 4040L to "Program" by grabbing a ladder and pressing the mode button until which was #3, according to the manual, then run to the car and hit the button 3x for it to sync. My remote control did nothing for me. But sharing here in case it helps someone else!

Putting this here to help others in 2023+. I have a 2010 Land Rover and a 2013 Elantra. I installed a new Chamberlain side mounted garage door opener in 2020 and had to buy the Homelink Repeater to get the vehicle’s Homelink to work with the new garage door opener. It worked great. Then we moved in 2023. I brought my Homelink Repeater with me to the new house and installed a new side mounted garage. I setup my existing Homelink Repeater and no dice. I called Homelink and they said due to a lawsuit by Genie that Chamberlain lost they had to change the algorithm they were using in their new garage door openers in 2022. Any existing Homelink Repeaters do not support this new 2022+ algorithm. Homelink released a new version of their Homelink Repeater in 2022 that supports 2022+ garage door openers from Chamberlain. This new unit has a model number of RPTRMC. The “MC” suffix indicates this new version. I threw out my old version and purchased this new one and it worked perfectly first try. I hope that helps at least one other person from losing their mind. :)
